A scene of Hong Kong’s iconic but diminishing Neon’s. These signature signs are becoming less of a regular sight in the city.

The artist here creates a sense of nostalgia, but at the same time captures a futuristic essence in the composition.

"I love minibuses, I love taxis, I love neons, I love rain, put it together and you have what Hong Kong looks like in my head".

Shot with a Sony a7ii, 55mm lens in Mong Kok.

Andy Ives - Australia / Hong Kong
Andy moved to Hong Kong from Australia in 2015 and fell in love. Neon signs, rain, and gritty street scenes are central to his compositions. He experiments with unnatural colours in editing. He creates futuristic and surreal photos.

Andy loves to shoot down to the street from above, trying to find small vantage points from a few floors up.

He currently spends his time between Hong Kong and Australia, travelling as much as he can in between. He has exhibited in HK, China and Australia and sold his work online for numerous brands.
