First introduced to Hong Kong in the 1920s, neon signs became a staple of Hong Kong’s streets and skyline in the latter part of the 20th Century. They were used by all manners of businesses from nightclubs to pharmacies, pawn shops to jewellery stores. Sadly, Hong Kong’s neon signs have been rapidly disappearing as they are replaced by more energy-friendly LED signs.
