'Fifty-two Pickup' silk scarf (large)
Playing cards, which have a long and illustrious history, first originated in China in the 9th century, before spreading globally. Though they have undergone a material change in appearance and construction, they largely remain the same. Owing to its popularity later on in Europe, many cards now retain a Western-style art direction. The fifty-two pickup print takes these playing cards back to their Chinese roots by depicting the face cards in ceremonial court wear.
This print is an Asian take on the traditional 52 card deck, which was first hand-drawn before being printed onto the fine silk.
G.O.D. 100% silk scarves are luxurious yet bright and bold. Each large silk scarf is 90 x 180 cm with a hand-finished rolled edge.
Using the latest printing technology ensures the best graphic clarity and colour vibrancy while the hand-finishing certifies a durable finish and invisible stitching.
To maintain its prime condition, we recommend dry cleaning only. For the elimination of creases, lightly steam or iron with a towel in between to protect the delicate silk.
