Candy Box, Spring Blossom

In Chinese old tradition, the candy box usually comes with a cover (lid) served by a host to guests visiting the house on important occasions such as celebration of the Chinese Luner New Year, weddings and sometimes birthday parties. A beautiful ornamental box (usually in bright red colour sometimes black inside if made of lacquer) for confectionery symbolizes prosperity and abundance that brings amusement and joy especially to kids upon discovering what's inside.
