GOD invited 24 talented local artists to reinterpret the iconic dai pai dong
folding stool.
The stunning collection of re-imagined stools were on display
and available for purchase in store and online from 27 July to 31 August 2023.
Dai pai dongs, Hong Kong's version of a street cafe, are hawker stalls where you can find some of the best
food in the city. Easily distinguished with their green awnings, the very distinct
foldable stool and chopsticks in a metal canister, are staples
for these establishments and would be recognisable to anyone who has wandered the streets of Hong Kong.
We are so grateful to the wonderful and talented artists for their creativity and efforts.
We celebrated the opening of the exhibition at our D'Aguilar Street store with a fun party filled with great food, drinks and music.
