GOD x William Lim Auspicious Greetings Collection - Meet the Artist

Join us at GOD D’Aguilar for the launch of this special collection, where you can meet William in person at our ‘Meet the Artist' event.

There are four styles in the collection: Fang Shan Shui Hei (楓山水起), Hei Sheung Ka Hei (喜上加起), Lin Lin Yau Yu (蓮蓮有魚) and Tai Gut Tai Lei (大桔大梨). His artwork beautifully embodies various Chinese idioms, bringing the blessings to life. 

"I have always been intrigued by traditional Chinese 年画，or New Year Paintings, a style of Chinese ink painting that is colorful, graphical, and with auspicious meaning.
I want to do a twist to this traditional art form by using Cantonese phonetics to the words, and my own graphic sense that came from my architecture training.
