Bonsai, 2010 - G.O.D. x Lane Crawford
Bonsai, 2010
Aluminum Wiring and Zinc Panelling

To celebrate their 160th anniversary, Lane Crawford commissioned GOD to create a piece for the main entrance of their IFC store. The concept was to use Bonsai as a traditional symbol of luxury, then twisting it by using materials not traditionally associated with Bonsai and blowing it up to giant scale.

When lit with spot lighting, the highly reflective metal attractively accentuates the curvilinear organic form of the tree.
