For the first time, Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong joined hands with GOD to present a unique gift idea - an original GOD design - the Bird Cage oil burner. Exquisitely crafted with matte white porcelain and embellished with a golden songbird on top, the burner creates a soothing ambience with its flickering candlelight gleaming through the “bird cage” adorned with Chinese cloud embossment.
It is an age-old Chinese tradition to carry a bird in a bird cage, and it is believed its singing spreads joy to all who hear it.
Proceeds from the sale was donated to the hotel’s charity partner, Heep Hong Society – one of Hong Kong’s leading education and rehabilitation organisations committed to helping children and youth with special needs.
