Goods of Desire founder and self-proclaimed cultural hybrid, Douglas Young, reflects Hong Kong's blend of east meets wet in his unique personal collection of nostalgic local memorabilia.

Entering the offices of Douglas Young's Goods of Desire (commonly referred to as GOD) is to both step back in time and be overwhelmed by his dazzling collection.

The entrance to the space resembles that of a classic cha chaan teng cafeteria, and the walls are covered in antique clocks and postboxes. A vintage bicycle sits suspended among the  numerous lamps on the high ceiling - and there's much more besides. Too many to list, in fact, but it all reflects YOung's insatiable desire to preserve physical memories of Hong Kong's rapidly disappearing past. He named the collection, aptly, "All Things Hong Kong".
